Bas de Leeuw – a Dutch national, economist from Erasmus University Rotterdam – is managing director of the World Resources Forum, Switzerland.
This website – under construction – provides highlights of his career, which has included work as the Executive Director of Dana Meadow’s Sustainability Institute (Hartland, Vermont, USA), UN diplomat for the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and expert for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), both based in Paris, and several senior and junior policy advisor positions at the Dutch ministries of Environment, respectively Economic Affairs.
Bas has also been a journalist (including for Quod Novum, Economenblad, NRC Handelsblad, Telegraaf, Wetenschapsbeleid, AVRO) and writer (short stories, columns, poems, verses and song lyrics, movie and theatre play scripts, and, most recently, blogs, some of these under a pen name).
This blog should eventually evolve into something primarily written in Dutch (“Uitzicht op iets moois: uitzichtspunten op de politiek, de actualiteit en het leven”). Maar ja …
